Annual Halloween spooktacular set Oct. 31 in Eastlake
Want to trick or treat on both sides of the street? Then, calling all ghosts and goblins … and everything else that goes bump in the night!
Children ages 12 and younger can take part in what has become a Halloween tradition by participating in a special trick or treat at Village Walk at Eastlake and Eastlake Village Marketplace on Friday, Oct. 31, from 3 to 5 p.m.
Kids may pick up free treats at participating merchants at the two shopping centers. Children should dress in costume and be accompanied by an adult. All they need to do is check in at one of the free registration areas, receive a free treat bag and then enjoy the costumed characters and free treats planned by many of the merchants at both centers in this annual event.
This is a fun way for kids to enjoy this spooktacular holiday and is a great alternative to neighborhood trick-or-treating; the two-hour window is plenty of time to pick up all the treats and still be home by dark.
The two shopping centers are located adjacent to each other to provide convenient access. Many of the merchants also get caught up in the festive event by dressing up in costumes. Village Walk at Eastlake is located on Eastlake Parkway and Miller Drive and features 30 stores and services including Trader Joe’s, Sprouts Farmers Market, Pier 1 Imports and T.J. Maxx. Eastlake Village Marketplace is located on the corner of Otay Lakes Road and Eastlake Parkway and features 30 shops and services including Target, Lowe’s and Office Depot.
