The holidays are a time to add a little cheer to your closet. While black is extremely useful this time of year, I will never say taking a risk with fashion is a no-no. Let’s start off with the good ‘ol black. We’ll save the really fun stuff for last. You really can’t go wrong with a simple black dress - remember the LBD? Throw on a pair of adorable flats and you’re 80% ready. It’s perfect for any holiday party! Here’s where you let your accessories do all the work. Add a hint of sparkle by adding a bangle or if you twist your hair in a bun, try adding a pair of studs.
For those of you who really want to make a statement this holiday season, go out and snag some sequins! Whether it be a sequin cardigan or a rhinestone belt, this is the time.
Now comes the makeup. Do I go all red? Do I go all natural with neutrals and pale pink? My answer is both. If you decide to play it safe, then I suggest applying some lipstick and mascara. Bold is a wonderful match. If you decide to take a risk, I recommend doing the same with your makeup. I’m not suggesting you apply your makeup to look like a clown, but whoever said eyeshadow with a touch of gold was against the rules?
No matter which holidays you celebrate, style should always be fun. Whether it’s adding that last minute necklace or changing your shoes to spice things up, this is a great way to let your personality shine through.
